Over this past year, we expanded our reach into the San Francisco Bay Area and welcomed the Paystar staff to our Coastal family. Facing the challenges that then came with COVID-19 together, we were able to maintain the Coastal vibe, serving our clients well and taking care of our own people, even as our territory and team expanded.

It’s been a tough year. That goes without saying. But we can never say often enough that our team has been phenomenal through it all. Distance and remote working didn’t stop them. They stepped up to bring unparalleled support to our community through the most trying days of the COVID crisis. This award truly goes to all of them, who brought smiles and passion every day. Our team is what makes us a great place to work.
An Even-Stronger Coastal Payroll Culture
When the COVID crisis caused many of us to work remotely, our culture was tested. And yet, we proved the Coastal vibe is stronger than shared shuffleboard games and in-office camaraderie. We turned to virtual happy hours, regular online meetings and other methods to keep the conversations, and relationships, going strong. This year served as a testing ground for the culture we have build—and we are coming through just as unified and committed to our clients and our mission as ever. We are so thankful to be one of the best places to work, even when work is being done in our homes or other remote locations.
Coastal’s Positive Outlook On The Future
This is an interesting, sometimes challenging time to be in HR. And we believe it has never been more important. We are committed to remaining positive and always looking for ways to serve and truly take care of our clients. Over the years, this has meant innovating and creating custom client support. And we will continue to do so, even as the world continues to change.
