What Made the 4th Annual SpeakUp5K San Diego So Great

We had another great SpeakUp5K San Diego on April 14. This annual event and cause are so dear to us and we’re so grateful to everyone who joined us. Here are a few of the things that made it memorable

1. An Iconic Location

— Embarcadero Marina Park and Seaport Village are the ideal location for this fun, welcoming race. It’s all about having a good time together — and the views from here are superb.

2. Beautiful Weather

— We couldn’t have ordered a more perfect day.

3. Cameron’s Touches

— From the signs to the inspiring vibes, this really is HER race.

4. All The Support

— We had an amazing lineup of sponsors that joined us at the event, bringing food and fun. Check them all out here.

5. Donations

— We were able to give a substantial amount to the Rady’s Children’s Hospital Children’s Mental Health Initiative from the event proceeds.

6. Each Participant

— We had over 500 people running, walking, jogging and hanging out with us. You guys brought the energy. Thank you for that.

7. Every Single Person Who Got the Word Out

— The whole purpose of this race, Cameron’s legacy, is to end the stigma of teenage mental illness. So whether you attended, shared the link with some friends, read or listened to Cameron’s story, or just learned more about teenage mental illness — we want to say thank you.

Check out this great video for a recap of the day.

We’re already excited for next year. Want to join us? Make sure to follow us on Facebook and Instagram — and plan to bring some friends. We look forward to seeing you there.
